"Life Changing!"
"I wish this had existed when I had my kids, it would have changed my life" - Leia
We understand committing to a course can be challenging particularly if you are already a time poor mum, so we have answered some common questions here, but if you are still not sure feel free to email us.
This is exactly what this course is for! Most people can't identify 7 potential supporters before taking the course. We designed it to help you identify potential supporters in your community, screen them for appropriateness, ask them in a way that honors everyone's boundaries, clearly communicate your personal postpartum needs, and build your long-term village.
We understand that mothers are busy and pregnancy is exhausting. That's why we've broken this course into short, bite-sized lessons (most less than 10 minutes) that you can access anytime – even during late-night laundry folding! While there are optional live Q&A calls and community forums to enhance your learning, you can complete the core material in less than an hour most weeks. This small time investment yields significant returns in your postpartum period, giving you more time for bonding, rest, and recovery.
The value created from implementing this course far exceeds the cost. By implementing the course you'll receive nearly 50 hours of in-person support, long-term community connections, potential significant belief shifts, and the research-backed benefits of true social support (including improved breastfeeding rates and significantly reduced rates of postpartum depression). This course can transform not just your postpartum experience but your whole life. If you're experiencing financial hardship, please contact us – we believe a supported postpartum should be available to everyone and can arrange payment plans or offer limited sponsored places in each course.
We recommend completing the 7 Sisters course as early as possible in your pregnancy. This gives you maximum time to implement the strategies and build your support team. The earlier you start, the more practice you get, and the greater the long-term neuroadaptive benefits.
Your 7 Sisters are not visitors – they are supporters. We dedicate several lessons to establishing expectations and boundaries around your postpartum space to ensure your 7 Sisters support you in nurturing ways rather than being guests needing entertainment. Many mothers don't even see their 7 Sisters during the first few weeks as they focus on bonding with their baby and resting, while the Sisters quietly maintain clean spaces and provide nutritious food.
Every postpartum journey is different, and our course addresses many special circumstances including single motherhood, multiple births, and medical complications for both mother and baby. This model adapts to your unique needs and desires. We encourage each mother to create their unique postpartum team – some have fewer (or more) sisters, some combine this with professional assistance, and some people's partners complete the course to create the community.
Gifting someone a supported postpartum is truly life-changing. We encourage gifting the complete course rather than doing it for them, as many aspects are designed specifically for mothers. The neuroplastic changes and core belief shifts are long-term benefits they can only gain by creating this village themselves. However, if they're unable to take the course, they can still receive many (though not all) benefits if someone creates this support system for them.
While professional support is valuable, the 7 Sisters approach creates a sustainable, long-term support network that extends beyond the initial postpartum period. Unlike paid help that eventually ends, your village continues supporting you throughout your parenting journey. Many mothers successfully combine professional support with their 7 Sisters network for comprehensive care.
